Privacy policy

Just Quran

Last updated: March 30, 2026

Just Quran is built by Steps to Jannah, a nonprofit organization. We believe Quran apps should not collect, store, or sell your data. This policy is simple because our practices are simple.

What we collect

Nothing.

Quran data

All Quran text, translations, and tafsir (Al-Jalalayn) are bundled with the app and stored on your device. No network calls are made for reading, searching, or browsing.

Data storage

All your settings, bookmarks, reading progress, and preferences are stored locally on your device using standard platform storage. Nothing is synced to the cloud. If you delete the app, your data is gone.

Network calls

Just Quran makes zero network calls for Quran text, search, tafsir, or any reading feature. Everything is calculated and retrieved on your device.

The only network activity occurs if you choose to stream or download a surah recitation, which loads audio from QuranicAudio.com (a public Quran audio archive). This happens only when you press play or download, and no identifying information is sent. You can also optionally download the comprehensive Tafsir Ibn Kathir commentary, which is fetched from a public CDN. No identifying information is sent with this request either.

Analytics and tracking

There are none. No analytics SDKs. No crash reporting. No usage tracking. No fingerprinting. No ad networks. Zero.

Advertising

There is no advertising in Just Quran. There never will be.

Children

Just Quran does not collect data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If we ever update this policy, we will post the revised version at this URL. Given that we collect nothing, we do not anticipate meaningful changes.
